When I first set up this site, I hadn't a clue what I wanted to achieve. I still stumble when people ask me where I want to take it, but I have a clearer idea now than I did 5 months ago. I also didn't consider when I would publish blog posts - I just kind of fell into a weekday routine. I certainly didn't realise how difficult it would be to write material after 5 months. Now I'm getting ever nearer to writing my 100th blog post, and I'm no longer 3 weeks ahead. In fact, I'm lucky if I'm 3 days ahead!
Here's the thing; if I'd looked at the bigger picture 5 months ago, this website wouldn't exist. I would have missed out on making a lot of valuable connections, and dare I say I'd have fewer incredible friends? I'd have become trapped in a cycle of working out the logistics. If I ever got past that stage, I'd then have become panicky about the costs of running a website instead of thinking "right, I'll give people the opportunity to help me run the site, but even if my bank balance becomes the Titanic, I'm going to run this website until I can't do it anymore".
This website would never have come to fruition if I hadn't jumped in at the deep end and trusted that everything would be okay. Thankfully I did, and so far the universe has had my back.
Jump in. Trust others to help keep you afloat. Ask for help when you need it. Forget the bigger picture once in a while and just do what you know you're meant to do. I believe in you.
